We like to think we do a pretty good job of helping you on your photography journey at Click and Learn Photography, but we know there are plenty of other resources out there that can be of help. This is especially true for photography inspiration, where you must cast your net wide and see what catches your eye.

Is it a little silly directing you away from our website? Possibly, but we believe in providing you the best path for learning possible, and these additional resources are goldmines for creativity and inspiration. We wouldn’t want you to miss out on them!

Please do come back though – We’ve got tons of cool content for you.

Inspirational Photography Resources

500px – One of the biggest and best photo sharing platforms on the internet. Facebook may be full of snapshots and selfies, but 500px offers a treasure trove of high quality photography to feast your eyes upon. It’s also great for location scouting!

365Project – As you may have guessed from the name, 365Project is a site where you upload one photo every day for an entire year. It’s great for getting out of a photography rut because it forces you to make something creative every single day.

Deviant Art – While we’re on the subject of art, Deviant Art is a fantastic place to inspire you. It has everything from traditional painting to digitally created animations. You can spend hours browsing through and finding inspiration for your photography.

Youtube – It may be viewed as the place where spare time goes to die, but YouTube is jammed full of great photography vlogs and tutorials. I’ll be putting together a list of my favourites soon, so stay tuned for that!

The Togcast – If Podcasts are more your thing, then look no further than The Togcast. It started last year and has grown into probably the best landscape and travel photography podcast around. It’s full of fantastic interviews with very creative photographers and every episode is a great listen.

The Photography Directory Project – Immense list of photography related resources that can always give you something else to browse.

Consumerbase’s Ultimate Digital Photography Resources – It does what it says on the tin really. Consumerbase have put hours into researching the best places to learn photography and split it up into manageable categories. Very helpful for the beginner starting out!

Social Media as a Photography Resource

Social media in general gets a pretty bad rap, and whilst it definitely does have it’s negatives the positives, in my opinion, far outweigh them. Almost all social media websites have huge potential to help you.

Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Flickr, Reddit to name a few. All of them have wonderful photography communities who are all willing to help you out with any questions you have and provide a ton of inspiration when you’re feeling in a rut. Yes, all of them have their fair share of trolls, but ignore them and find a like minded community and you’ll find your photography enjoyment skyrocket!

No matter which method of inspiration you use, make sure to get out and shoot! Nothing gets the photography juices flowing like actually having the camera in front of our faces.

Have I missed any must-see resources off my list? Let me know in the comments and we’ll make sure to add them in! We’ll leave you with a quote from the late, great Ansel Adams:

“A true photograph need not be explained, nor can it be contained in words.”

Ansel Adams
